I’m confused (please don’t laugh, it isn’t kind). If anyone knows the answers to some of the trivial questions that are exercising my little grey cells right now, I’d be really glad to hear from you!
I thought that banks were having a hard time borrowing money and that was why it’s called a credit crunch. Why then, do they keep offering to lend me more and more?
If all those shares have been ‘wiped off’ the stock markets – where has all the money gone? In theory it still exists – so who’s hiding it?
If the government is so keen for people to stop smoking, how are they going to make up the shortfall in taxes they used to collect from smokers? It certainly won't be through savings on health costs.
If call centres record your calls for training purposes, why do you have to explain everything from the beginning each time you ring them?
Why can’t direct mail companies get the message that I'm not interested, especially as I haven’t placed an order in over 5 years? (They can’t be paying the postage themselves!)
How come all the foods that are meant to be bad for you taste so much nicer than the healthy ones? And how come the special offers in supermarkets are nearly always for the unhealthy stuff?
Instead of bailing out the financial institutions using tax payers money, why doesn’t they ask the people responsible for this mess to return the fat bonuses they received?
Why does Facebook want you to suggest people to introduce to ‘friends’ on the screen before you get to know all about them?
Oh, and finally, why do I jump when the phone rings? After all, that is what it’s supposed to do ;-)
Thank you, I feel better now. Normal blogging will be resumed soon.
