I'm Louise Barnes-Johnston, the founder and director of FrontLine Results Ltd, based on Hayling Island, which is on the south coast of England. I'm an experienced business coach, life coach, business mentor and trainer.
During my 20 year corporate career, which included working for companies such as Marconi and Toshiba (UK), I was responsible for improving the motivation, communication skills and performance of the sales and customer service staff I worked with.
I believe the skills and experience gained from my earlier career influence and guide my work today in business coaching and training. Both involve interacting with people, understanding complex situations and helping individuals and organisations make difficult changes that lead to lasting and positive results.
As the owner of a small business for over 10 years, a lot of my work is as a business mentor, both for start up and growing small businesses. What I love about business coaching is that, while no two clients are the same, they are all enthusiastic about the possibilities ahead!
I was recently interviewed about how I came to be a business coach, and asked to give tips for small business owners online - you can listen to the interview here:
I have worked with many organisations and professional groups including:
Business Link; Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce (accredited trainer); Portsmouth Junior Chamber; Southdowns College; Chartered Management Institute; Southern Entrepreneurs (Eastleigh District Council); South Hants Enterprise Agency and Chichester College (keynote speaker)
My Qualifications and Accreditations include:
BTEC in Business Studies
Accredited Life Coach (Distinction)
Diploma in Business Performance Coaching
Accredited Senior Coach with The European Coaching Institute
Certified Practitioner of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming)

This is what some of my clients say:
"Louise Barnes-Johnston has coached me on many areas over the past five months. Some of our most important work has been to do with the setting-up of my new office and the efficient and effective running of my business. It has been invaluable to be able to take 'time out' of the usual run of things, to take a step back with the support of a good coach, to pay attention to the detail and yet retain the overview. The regular weekly sessions certainly paid off." (Lee Parkin, Financial Advisor)
"Like many small business owners, I found that I had to work much longer hours just to maintain the business at previous levels. I was pursuing all sorts of ideas and really didn't know how to select one from the other. It was exhausting. With your help I was able to focus, self examine and discover how to see the wood from the trees, how to set and put personal and family goals first, rather than being a slave to work and devoting my left-over time to the family. My horizons are now much broader but the new business model is so much simpler!" (Bob Squirrel, MD)
"I can't quite put into words the mixed-up situation I was in when I began the coaching sessions. Your help on time management was essential to even begin thinking of implementing changes. Your support for the decisions I have taken in the time we have worked together has been very helpful. I really couldn't have done what I have done or come this far in a relatively short period of time, without your guidance." (JD, Director)
