Business Coaching for Larger Companies

Strong managers and executives are one of a company's greatest assets.  But if they are to continue to contribute significantly to the company in an ever-changing business environment, they need to be given the opportunity to grow and achieve more.  Business Coaching is designed to support businesses in the following areas:

  • Getting results - setting clear goals and priorities, managing time and energy, taking more action and being prepared to be more accountable.
  • Leading and performing - specific work with individuals and teams that leads to higher and more efficient performance.
  • Communicating and influencing - so that staff know exactly what is required of them and they are regularly briefed on the needs and issues of their customers and suppliers.
  • Developing and retaining employees - training, developing and managing staff so that high morale and motivation are sustained, high-calibre people are retained and the company's business objectives are met.
  • Dealing with conflict and stress - instilling a culture within the organisation which proactively deals with stress and handles conflict directly and positively.
  • Developing excellent customer relationships and ensuring strong supplier relationships as well as promoting the client business.

Who Is Business Coaching For?

  • Star Performers and employees targeted for promotion.
  • Successful leaders and managers wanting the accountability, objectivity and stretching necessary to reach the next level of performance.
  • Struggling employees in danger of being terminated if their performance continues to fall below required standards.

What is Business Coaching?

Business Coaching is essentially a powerful partnership - and a series of conversations between a coach and a client - set up to achieve results.  Coaching is based on the fundamental belief that we are all capable of change but it also acknowledges that change can be difficult and therefore is often resisted.  Business Coaches help individuals to change their non-productive behaviours and elicit much more productive and effective alternative strategies.

Progress will be made from the beginning and lasting results will be seen quickly.

Business Coaching can benefit the client in the following ways:

  • Bring clarity to what is truly wanted
  • Help to identify goals and bring them to fruition
  • Show the client how to accomplish more in less time, often more easily
  • Improve interpersonal and communication skills, and considerably increase the chances of influencing and empowering others.
  • Become aware of stress triggers and patterns of behavious, and break free from unwanted anxiety.

How Does Business Coaching Work?

Step 1 - Evaluate

First we need to find out about the present situation - what is working, what isn't and what you want to achieve.

Step 2 - Design

Then we will spend some time working out a strategy and coaching plan tailored to your needs.

Step 3 - Recommend

The next stage is to present our findings and explain each recommendation for your approval.

Step 4 - Implement

The Coaching process starts - in line with your agreed requirements and at a pace to suit your individual business situation.

Step 5 - Review

Progress will be reviewed at regular intervals and any changes to the coaching plan agreed.

Following the evaluation and coaching needs analysis, clients typically sign up for a minimum three-month period.  During that time, we would have three fifty-minute sessions (either on the telephone or at a face to face meeting) each month.  My clients and I find it very helpful to keep in touch by e-mail between sessions.
